President Mugabe's new palace dining room.

In 2003 the BBC reported that President Mugabe and his wife Grace were building a new Palace. Well, now it is ready for his supposed retirement in 2008 and pictures of the palace interiors are now travelling the Internet.

Grace's previous sumptuous residence, nicknamed "Graceland", was bought by Muammar Qaddafi of Libya.
(she said in interview that she had paid for it from her savings as a secretary prior to marrying Mugabe!)

President Mugabe could not have afforded this palace on his salary as President. He says that it has been a gift to him by ZANU PF for leading the country since independence.
However, one might wonder at his leadership qualities! Robert Guest of the Africa desk at the Economist says that no country since Germany's Weimar Republic has had such a "dramatic peacetime collapse".

And the house? (it's cost could have built 4 hospitals)
* Arab artists spent a year decorating the ceilings
* 3 acres of accommodation
* estimated 26 million USD to build
* 25 en-suite bathrooms
* neighbours in Borrowdale, Harare, have been told to sell up and leave to protect Mugabe's security
* China has donated the glazed blue tiles that cover the roof.
* Malaysia has donated the timber
* there are underground rooms reinforced with concrete
* it is 3 times the size of the State House.
* has 44 acres of landscaped grounds
* a Serbian construction company built it - Energoproject - to a Chinese design. Mugabe said in interview that the Serbian company donated their material and labour
* 50 crack riot response police guard it on a 24 hour watch

Meanwhile it is estimated that 80% of Zimbabweans are unemployed and a quarter of the population has left the country any way they can to seek survival for themselves and their families elsewhere.

Who is responsible for ending the suffering of Zimbabwe?

Sure, most of it was donated if you notice. Let's start petitioning foreign governments to donate building supplies to us here in America!

All the poor people of Zimbabwe and those who care about it, should go on a strike and stand naked in front of the maind door of the president palace until they get a response. (even if that mean forever). Zimbabweans need to be more aggressive like we are in Nicaragua (Central America). We go on strikes at least once a month against the president Daniel Ortega, we don't have to just bend over and let them @!$%# us.

Ahhhh....but wait. The Roman Catholic Church held a mass for the saintly Mugabe when he married the poor little secretary Grace. No matter that old Robert had been sleelping with amazing Grace while Robert's wife was dying....no matter that Grace had a husband...Roman Catholic leaders show real compassion in these cases.....besides...the Pope and bishops are very busy making sure Gay people have no rights.....they have no time for minor problems like adultery and greed from a psychotic dictator and his adulterous wife....after all, Old Mugabe is a baptized Catholic...probably on his way to sainthood.

I want to clear something up. I am a 35 year old caramel complected American woman. I have no ties in anyway to no one man, women, ansester, anctient, historical, past present or future, never. I am in no way associated with anything or anybody african. i have no african heritage, creed, culture, ethnicity tribal, tribunal, clans. I am not an African-American. I am not an African nothing. I am an American that can out dance the heck out of any African. Hands down. Who made up that tale about some man named Toby who was supposed to be related to the darker colored Americans. Well I found out that story was false. Thats a crime. It caused a lot of contraversy. It's just not true. See the tone light skinned to white are the Americans that will take this the hardest when they receive evidence.
